Charity Football 2026. What a Day.
We recently hosted our third annual charity football match at Port Vale FC, welcoming members, partners, friends and supporters for another memorable event in support of the Port Vale Foundation.
What started as an idea to bring people together through something different has now become a fixture in the calendar for us, and this year’s event was the biggest one yet.
From the moment teams arrived at Vale Park, there was a real buzz around the day. Whether people were stepping onto the pitch, catching up in the stands or supporting from the sidelines, the atmosphere throughout the afternoon was brilliant to see.
This year saw three teams go head to head, managed by Rob, Steve and James, with plenty of competitive moments, quality football and laughs shared along the way. A big congratulations to Rob’s team for taking the win on the day 🏆
There were also a few memorable moments throughout the afternoon, including our CEO, Wes Wilkes, stepping in goal during the day. After one managed to slip past him, it meant another £500 raised for the foundation, adding even more to an already brilliant fundraising total 👏🏼
But beyond the football itself, the day represented something much bigger.
At IronMarket, we’ve always believed relationships matter. Events like this give us the opportunity to bring together different parts of our network in a way that feels genuine, relaxed and community driven, whilst also supporting an important cause in the process.
Thanks to the incredible support from everyone involved, we’re proud to have raised over £2,000 for the Port Vale Foundation and the important work they continue to do within the local community.
A huge thank you to everybody who played, attended, donated, sponsored or helped behind the scenes to make the day happen.
We’re already looking forward to the next one.
